Sherbrooke Design Studio is led by Director Katy, who has over 15 years’ experience in the design industry, specialising in hospitality, retail and heritage interiors.
After graduating from Manchester School of Art, Katy spent nine years at the prestigious architecture and interior design practice Nick Leith-Smith, where she led the retail and hospitality teams. During this time, she delivered projects for an exceptional portfolio of clients including Manolo Blahnik, Selfridges, Liberty London, Aston Villa Football Club and Chelsea Football Club. Her work was recognised with several industry accolades, including a Restaurant & Bar Design Award and a Retail Week Interiors Award.
Katy later joined Ambassador Theatre Group, where she worked on the restoration and refurbishment of theatres across the UK, designing hospitality spaces and heritage-led interventions. Her projects included the extensive refurbishment of Richmond Theatre in preparation for its 120th anniversary celebrations.
Alongside her interior design practice, Katy has expanded the studio’s expertise into both modern and traditional upholstery. She undertakes furniture restoration, bespoke upholstered pieces and made-to-order designs, combining craftsmanship with a strong understanding of materials, proportion and detail.
Today, Sherbrooke Design Studio offers a comprehensive design service, from concept development and spatial planning through to technical design, project management and completion. Whether working on commercial interiors, heritage projects or bespoke furniture, Katy enjoys collaborating closely with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver thoughtful, beautifully crafted spaces and objects.
